North Rhine-Westphalia is by far Germany’s largest radio market and, with Radio NRW, offers the most popular radio program in Germany as a supporting program for over 40 local radios. NRW has a diverse audio and podcast scene that uses more and more digital distribution channels for digital radio/DAB+ via stream and for download. Independent podcasters are on the advance and the most successful journalistic radio-on-demand offers are produced in NRW.
